The Opiate Way
The Guru speaks on Getting high without getting strung out.

As we get older, the drugs and alcohol we took in our younger days no longer provide
the satisfaction they once did. Getting high only lasts for a short while, and once
you’re sober, you no longer have the money or the ability to do anything else.
There has to be an alternative.
So, the question then becomes, "Guru, How can we get happy?" Well my friends,
happiness and joy, like everything else, a chemical reaction.
The inside of your brain contains Opiate Receptors. These are proteins that live on
the surface of your nerve cells (neurons). When you physically exert yourself, the
adrenaline produced from the body stimulates the protein on the cells and ignites your
Opiate Receptors, letting you know that you are in ecstasy.
It is why, with this being the start of a new year, it is time to train your body to be
happy with other things other than cigarettes, alcohol and drugs. By no means I am
asking anyone to deny the luxuries they allow themselves to escape the madness of the
world, but just know that at times, there are other ways to go.
It is, for me at least, the best method in avoiding addiction.
First, you need to exercise. It is cost efficient and will be a natural opiate for
you. Yep, working out will get you high! Sitting down and watching television will
not.
Television is designed to saturate your opiate receptors. Marketing directors have
studied how you think, how you navigate the Internet, what you buy when you shop, and
what makes you happy.
The visions you see of beautiful people solving problems easily are not making you
happy - They are sedating you. It is, in some cases, worse then drugs or alcohol,
because a world of make believe is presented as real. Once you believe it to be real,
you believe that you need to buy a new Lex to put a smile on you or your wife’s
face for the holidays!
Is a car happiness? Does the joy feel the same as seeing your child come into the
world, or hear the perfect note from a symphony, or taste the first taste of a kiss?
What am I writing about?
If you do not find a multitude of ways to satisfy your opiate receptors, your need for
excitement will diminish, and you will develop a low level of expectations that keep
you from accomplishing your dreams.
DROPPING SCIENCE
Anandamide is a natural molecule that is produced by your body. It is also a
cannabinoid, which produces many of the same sensations as THC, the main chemical
compound found in marijuana. When you are physically active, the body produces more
Anadamide, which in fact, gets you high.
It is for this reason that Techno and House music produce such a high state of ecstasy.
The speed at which you dance increases the amount of Anandamide production.
Of course, if you’re on X, you’re levels are off the charts, but the
difference between sitting in your house tripping or out on the dance floor loosing your
mind is huge.
It is also the reason people are so happy when they dance freely.
The body can produce natural chemicals to put you in a state of bliss, and it
doesn’t cost you a dime. OK, maybe a few drinks, but that’s much better
then blazing away all the time and tripping on something that could be cut with the
Nasty Nasty.
As I move through life, I find that the road to happiness exists in complete openness.
While drugs and other stimulants give you a release of stress and a trip to a different
place, the reality is that you’ll be back to where you were eventually, so why not
get high inside your own body.
Or better yet, spend more time in someone else’s.
Safe, incredible sex is the ultimate opiate. Burn some candles and toss on some of
whatever gets you and your partner off and go crazy. It could be one of the reasons
other animals are so relaxed and content with just living in nature. Humans seem to
occupy themselves with building grand monuments and reaching into to space. I guess
that’s what happens when you put clothes on.
However, the present state of affairs dictates that a STRICT and CAREFUL observance
and awareness of STD’s be made. Men, wear your JIMI Hats and Ladies, make sure
you’re packing too.
A steady diet of healthy sex is an outstanding way of stimulating your opiate receptors
as well as other parts of your body.
Remember, every part of you is inside of yourself.
So there you have it.
As you move through your life trying to stay ahead of the game, remember that the game
can be as enjoyable as it is excruciating. Try to balance the constant intake of
capitalism with some natural stimulants.
Peace.
