The Guru Drops the Art of Free Styling

The Health Guru / eCureMe LIFE
Life is unscripted, so the way you live and prepare must take that into account.
"What are you talking about Guru you may ask?"
Sit back people, the road may bend a bit on this one, but the path will lead in the
righteous directions.
The new school theology started by Charlie Parker and his Be Bop Revolution,
continues today through the world of Hip Hop Dominance. With that comes the art
of Free Styling. Throwing away the script, what should be written, and just
flowing like a river that just broke free from the dam.
Something has happened to that American dream we see so often in Fiction.
The road we thought to be paved with marked stops along the way was not only not
the way we thought it to be, but for the most part, it was not even there.
The reason for this is simple. I’ll turn to a Buddhist master to break it
down for you:
"Human beings spend all their lives preparing, preparing, preparingˇ¦
Only to meet the next life unprepared."
-Drakpa Gyaltsen
Meditate on that for about a minute and then start reading again.
There is no magic building waiting for you to walk into that will fulfill your
destiny. You must create everything on your own. There are several methods to
all of this, but for your Guru, one of the most beneficial is Free Styling.
For all of you old School B Boys and Girls out there, you know what that means.
For some of you Newbies or those who have yet to accept that this is a world of
Hip Hop culture now, let me explain. Free Styling is the art of making up rhymes
on the spot. Spitting out what is on the top of your mind and laying it
down verbally.
Now, I’m not expecting you all you got out there and rock mics across the
nation, but Free Styling in the morning, wherever you are, in the shower, car,
or just while making breakfast, can help to rid you of the excess madness that
is laying around inside your head.
At first, don’t think of rhyming anything. Just starting speaking nonsense.
Whatever is in your head. If you don’t feel comfortable verbalizing what
you are thinking, take pen to paper and put it down. Why Guru? Why do you have
me speaking like the Jaberwalkie did to that little lady Alice when she took her
trip beyond the looking glass?
Well, your Guru believes that your subconscious is constantly at work, especially
when you sleep. If you get an average of 6 hours of sleep a day, then it serves
to reason that your subconscious is as work for that entire time. Your mind is
working and thinking about a variety of things that you don’t know about.
If you allow that stay inside as you enter the conscious world, it creates
clutter and confusion.
"Aha. Yes, Guru, now I see where you’re going."
I’m glad.
The real world, the one which you work and grab loot sacks, get educated and
develop relationships in, is based pretty much in the conscious world; in that
you need to make decisions and then take part in the actions that result.
However, if your mind is muddled up with subconscious thoughts, you will not be
able to think clearly.
You need to release the clutter. While silent meditation and Yoga are great
preparations for your mind, the need to get out the random thoughts is essential.
Think about it: If you have old clothes taking up room in your closet, if you
throw them away, you make room for new ones. Your mind will need to fill the
space.
On the flip side, if you keep everything you ever owned, you’ll have trouble
bringing new items into your life.
Your mind works the same way, so Free Styling, whether it is verbally or written,
is an outstanding way to communicate with yourself using words. If you are able
to communicate your own thoughts and feeling, your true feelings, to yourself,
you’ll be able to be more real with the rest of the world. This of course
creates a connection with the planet, which ultimately leads to a healthier way
of living, because if you are in harmony with both yourself and your surroundings,
happiness is easier to achieve.
Start this practice tomorrow. Before you come in contact with anyone else, try
dropping a Free Style to yourself on the first trip to the bathroom. Whatever
comes to your mind, like this:
Typing words
Might be absurd
But general populace needs to be educated
Erasing sedated mid drifts that cause
Splits in planets that were once whole
Think I need a Jelly Roll to get me goingˇ¦.
All of that was just sitting in my mind, taking up space without being realized.
Now, although I do want a Jelly Doughnut in the worst way, my focus is greater
for the day because I have resolved thoughts that were taking up energy.
Again, this is not to impress anyone. These words are only for the self.
It is all about release and taking in. Breathing in and Breathing out.
The plants give out oxygen and we give them carbon. There is a balance there.
Life is all a meditation, but there are many ways to meditate, the Guru is just
showing you his way.
I’d be interested in seeing what all you came up with in your freestyles.
If you can, write a few of them down and email them in. eCureMe will publish the
best ones in their monthly newsletter.
Drop a Rhyme. It may save your life.
Peace.
