The Guru Finds a Cure for Fatigue
(To save the world of course)

So your Guru knows this:
Whenever the day is settling in for another slumber party, I catch up with someone,
or meet someone on the Metro, who responds to the question, "How are you doing
today?" with LONG sigh and a complaint of "I’m tired."
Really? Are you? Aw, too bad.
It’s time to get a little juice back into your life. With the coming of
daylight savings time, there are even less minutes to enjoy the wonders of life,
as those cold months and early shadows can cause you to yawn more than you like,
which makes you bored, and then, well, we know what happens after that.
Here’s a Guru natural guide to keeping you up with the rat race.
- Get up earlier than you need to, maybe 20 minutes earlier than you’re
used to. You’ll be groggy for the grist few, but you’ll have more time
to get your mind straight, meditate, and perhaps even eat something to start the day.
Your Breakfast should be filled with protein, carbs and a little fat.
- Be excited to start the day. If you don’t think there are miracles and
wonders waiting out there for you, there won’t be. It’s your world,
well, really it’s not. Really it’s the world of a dominant military
force that is set on taking out the worldˇ¦Sorry about that. It’s your
Guru’s first article under the second term of the Bush Administration.
Your self confidence will boost your energy, as you will look forward into
putting more hours into your day.
- T.V? Come on now? Are you watching Desperate Housewives or My Big Fat
Obnoxious Boss? I know it makes you laugh and makes you forget, but it also
leaves you feeling insanely lethargic. Besides the negative affects of starring
at a screen for that amount of time, you are also emotionally taxed and have no
desire to go and pursue more out of life because you’ve just lived
vicariously through someone else. What are you, some kind of crazy peeping Tom
or Tomet? Turn off the TV!
- Exercise, at all times of the day, whether it is getting up and stretching
or taking a walk after lunch to get your blood flowing and strengthen your
ability to stay awake, note to mention produce natural energy in your body that
will keep you going.
- If you work out regularly, make sure you don’t make it a 7 days a week
kind of thing. You don’t want to be a slave to your body. If your body gets
used to your workout schedule, it will tire easily and not be as ready to perform.
- If you find that there is not enough time in the day, make a schedule that
will get everything you need done, accomplished. Make sure that schedule is
flexible enough to allow for time to relax, enjoy with people, and make mistakes.
See where your time is going and it won’t be as overwhelming to get
everything done. Trick your mind into thinking it takes less energy
than it thought.
- If you are sleeping over eight hours a day, you’re probably going to be
more tired than if you slept 6 because your body will start requiring more rest.
Although a good night’s rest is important to refresh your mind, if you do it
like an over indulgent American, you’ll be that person in the office who is
always yawning and saying how much sleep they need. That gets old real quick.
- Also, any more than two cups of coffee a day isn’t really doing
anything for you except giving you a false, sense of reality that will eventually
cause you to feel the affects of caffeine less, and puts you down when you need to
be up. Staying up is important in all aspects of life.
- If you live in a dark house without any natural light, make sure to let some
in, Vibrant colors, works of art or other visual stimulations can create an aura
of energy that will give you what you need to get the most of your day.
You’re not looking to be a meek mouse in the hunt for a nibble of cheese
when you can enjoy fresh mozzarella everyday, are you?
Who’s in control of you? You are. If you’re not, you’re a
slave, and that’s a nasty way to live your life. Your Guru wants to
give it to you straight so that you can be a productive member of the world
and change the present course of direction. You need to have energy when the
revolution starts.
Next time you see someone yawning, let ˇ®em know what’s up. You can be
that energetic person who can do everything that you are so jealous off.
Every human has the same amount of hours in the day, so if you’re not
running from bombs or scouring for food to save your family, you should be
finding energy to help people who are living like this.
Look beyond yourself and the world will unfold, but you need to be awake for
it first.
Peace.
