- This is the medical term for a condition in which there is constant, slow, involuntary, writhing movement of the fingers/hands or feet/toes. It typically occurs due to brain injury or disease (or medications that can effect the brain). An example is congenital spastic paraplegia (a form of cerebral palsy).
