  • This is a skin disorder in which the skin appers to be covered by fine husk-like hypopigmented scales.
  • It is usually occurs in children and adolescents.

  • Slightly elevated patches of fine scales over the cheeks, around the mouth, and around the neck, shoulders, or trunk.
  • Minimal itching may be present.

  • Unknown

  • Based on clinical findings
  • KOH examination to exclude fungal diseases

  • Application of a lubricant
  • Topical 1% hydrocortisone to relieve itching

  • Condition waxes and wanes, but eventually disappears.
