A Taste of Argentina without the Fat Tax
February 14th, 2004
Gaucho Grill on Sunset
7980 West Sunset Boulevard
Los Angeles, California 90046-3307
Summer time is here and those loose sweaters that you were sporting during the
chilly months are coming off. Guess what? There’s a little Buddha belly
where your flat tummy used to be. What’s up with that?
While most of the country is on its low carb, pill popping diet trying to get
washboard stomachs and hourglass figures, there are a few places where you can
eat tasty treats while still eating healthy. Goucho Grill takes care of both
those things.
While there are numerous locations around southern California, I posted up on
the corner of Sunset and Crescent Heights for my meal.
Each Entree is about 10-12 dollars a person, so you can have a glass of
wine and still make it out of there for around 20 bones. If you’re with
someone, a bottle might do.
While there are many dishes that can take it to your heart strings, such as
Churizo (Sausage) and crispy Fries, there are plenty of chicken and steak
dishes prepared with lean meat, served with a choice or rice, mashed potatoes
or salads.
Argentinean food is a great way to go if you are looking for an alternative to
you normal fare of food. While sometimes eating Mexican food leaves you
feeling a bit heavy from the grease, food from Argentina is made with very light
sauces of lemon and garlic, so when you’re finished, you don’t feel
like you’re taking another family member home with you from the restaurant.
eCureMe’s life section is expanding to it’s restaurant section
to give our members a look at healthy dinning alternatives. IF there is a
restaurant in your town that you think our readers should check out, a place
where they can eat right, send it in.
