The Guru Let’s Go Of Desire¡¦.
¡¦and Embraces Forgiveness.

Bing an American means that we are supposed to have a large amount of desire for everything. It is the "Burning Spirit" that is supposed to drive you to greatness.

What if it is actually driving you to a halt? Doe

s our passion define us?

"Why are you asking us so many questions Guru?"

Because I am asking you to let go of your desires so that you may truly live the life you wish to.

What happens when you let go your desires?

When we let go of our wants, there is a lessoning of expectations. Again, do not take this to the extreme. You still need to get up and work and be a productive member of the world, but in finding what makes you happy, perhaps you should not ask for too much.

From this, there will not be a grand visualization of what will be or what can be. There is only the now. The is. The present.

An old friend of mine who used to work in a high pressured sales environment kept a sign above his desk that read:

"Yesterday is history, the Future is a Mystery, what have you done for me today?"

We can see here that the world is made up of people who look towards the past of down the road to find out what it is they want out of life. The only problem with that is that your expectations often times take the place of your reality, and once that happens, you will be constantly disappointed at where your life is taking you.

You are exactly where you should be, because that is where you put yourself. It is where you are at. Looking past that cannot change that moment.

Stop beating yourself up. Allow yourself to fail, and more importantly, acknowledge your failures and forgive yourself.

This is Key. I said, forgive yourself.

Now this does not mean you are to take to the streets and start going GOOD, BAD and UGLY all over the place, only to give yourself a nice pat on the back once you walk away and the town is burning down all around you.

You are not the forgiven. Your Guru is talking about things like blowing a job interview, going off of your diet, backing down on quitting smoking or drinking. If you fail, forgive yourself, recognize the mistakes you made, and attack the problem from a different angle. If you try to do the same thing again, you will get the same results.

Many a master has stated that "Doing the same thing over and over again and expecting the same results is the definition of insanity."

Your Guru does not want you to be insane.

In order to achieve this next level of enlightenment, you must stop comparing yourself to others and checking out what your neighbor has going on. Their possessions don’t affect you in the slightest, so judging yourself against them will only give you more desire and set you up for disappointment, because there is no way you can have exactly what another has. In order for that to happen, you must have lived their lives.

No stalkers shall arise from the Guru’s clan.

Once you are disappointed too many times, constant depression may set in, and you will never learn how to forgive yourself. But that will not happen to you, because you are still reading and looking for guidance.

This is the first sign that you realize you may have strayed from the path.

However, this time, instead of beating yourself up over it, you are trying a different path.

Spread the word.

Forgiveness.

Peace.

H.G.
